There are few sporting if any sporting events on the calendar each year that match the intensity of the Super Bowl, and this year’s matchup promises to be a great one. The Saints outlasted the Vikings in overtime to get to the big one, and Peyton Manning and the Colts took care of business to gradually put away the upstart Jets in Indianapolis.
The Colts will be going back to the Super Bowl after winning the 2006 NFL Championship with a win over the Bears in Super Bowl XLI at Dolphin Stadium in Miami. Meanwhile, dem Saints will be going the biggest game of them all, and you have to be glad for them. I listen to WWOZ.org from New Orleans every day, so I have a finger on the pulse of the town and couldn’t happen to a better, more robust collection of die-hard fans. Not that N’awlins needs an excuse to party, but…they certainly had a reason to celebrate last night.
Congratulation to the Colts and the Saints, and like just about everyone else around the globe we will be tuned into that high quality video content in a couple of weeks on February 7th in Miami. Okay, okay, so who are we rooting for? All I can say….who dat, baby?
